Quality metal cane vanishes. Excellent for stage or standup. Locking mechanism. Dark grey-black color. A silk is not included, but is recommended. We suggest using a 12" silk, and attach it to the clasp on the collapsed cane. You can hide the the silk in the cane, When the cane is tripped, the cane will instantly disappear and instantly the silk will appear, making it appear as if the cane has changed into a silk. Recommended for adults because the metal must be handled with care, both to keep the prop working properly, and to protect the hands. The Plastic Appearing Cane is an excellent alternative- easier and safer to use. Quality metal canes have become extremely difficult to get. We have located one single supplier, and thus the higher price. The cane comes shipped with a coating of oil to prevent rust and to keep the coil in good operating condition. It will be necessary for you to wipe the oil from the cane with a soft cloth several times before using with a silk. Also, you will have to "work" the cane open and closed several times to relax the coil enough so that it pops open to its full size. We recommend storing the cane in its open position, in a dry location, and periodically wiping it down with a lubricant like WD-40 to prevent rust.
