Twist Off
In your mind, picture the most visual piece of magic you can imagine. You won't even come close to Eddie Gibson's Twist Off. This is magic as it was meant to be! Here is exactly what the audience sees. Open a small box. From inside the box remove a solid brass nut and bolt. Thread the nut on the bolt. The nut is really on the bolt. No funny business. Place the nut/bolt combination on the table. Place a handkerchief over the nut/bolt. Say the magic words. "Ooola goola gonna fooolya." Ask a spectator to remove the handkerchief. The nut is now off the bolt. The nut and the bolt are sitting on the table, separated by a couple of inches. An absolute killer effect. Now for the good stuff. No threads. No wires. No connections to you. No magnets. The bolt is 100% mechanical and does 100% of the work for you. If you can thread the nut on the bolt and place them on the table, you can perform this trick. If you like, you can even hand the bolt out for examination (you get an extra ungimmicked bolt to switch in) All I can say is, "Wait until you see this work. You will be delighted." This one fooled the pajamas off Joe Stevens (but that's like shooting fish in a barrel). Twist Off. I like this a lot!
