Shrinking Dime
Four coins are used in this effect, a penny, a nickel, a dime and a quarter. All four coins are placed into a spectator's hand and he is asked to close his fist. The spectator sees all four coins as he closes his hand. When he opens his hand the dime has changed to less then half its original size. All the magic happens in the hand of the spectator. This trick comes with 8 different coin tricks the one I use is I show my spectator a dime and penny. I ask them if I can put them in there hand and I show them two coins a dime and penny. I close thier hand and tap it with a magical word and they open it to find that the penny actually shrink the dime. You can make up a story about the different elements of coins and when they are combined with the heat of a persons hand the molecules of one coin can magically leave that coin. Ask the spectator to concentrate on the dime. Another patter might be a lesson on Inflation. Forty-one cents in days gone by was worth more than today. At the end of the effect show your 'Inflation' dime. There are many other effects possible with these versatile coins.
